About

I started my career in Calgary, Alberta, obtaining my Bachelor of Commerce with a Major in Accounting through the University of Calgary, and subsequently received my Chartered Professional Accountant designation shortly after. I have been involved in public practice since 2014, providing accounting, tax, and business advisory services for a wide range of business and personal clients. I moved to Courtenay in 2019 and I have had the privilege of working with local accounting firms, which has provided good opportunity to learn about the community and its needs.  I like to give back to the community, which is why I volunteer my time as treasurer for the Campbell River Services Society.

On a personal note, I am married with three children. Our family enjoys taking in all that this wonderful community has to offer and finding ways to get involved with the community, such as coaching my children’s various sports teams. We have two friendly dogs, and you can often see at least one of them at the office.

Prior to becoming an accountant, I owned and operated a construction company for 10 years. This experience has provided me with a unique perspective on accounting by gaining knowledge and experience of the obstacles faced by small business through their different stages and cycles. It allowed me to understand the importance of having a good accountant and to recognize the needs of a business beyond accounting.

I take pride in adding value to each and every one of my individual clients’ knowledge and expertise with their finances, business, and/or taxes.
